  • How about the possibility that the students are outraged at an injustice done to a great man. I am 65 and would have been proud to demonstrate with them. Not the violence, but certainly the demonstration.

  • It seems you have never heard of due process. Joe Pa has never been called to the university trustees to state his case. He is not accused of any legal wrongdoing of any kind.

  • Exactly. He could have easily stopped it, or at the very least called the cops. But he waited a day to tell Joe, and perhaps not all the vivid details. Joe followed the law and was fired for his actions, while McCleary is still on the staff. What a pile of crap.

  • Very true, but remember, the law is very specific regarding teachers in middle and high schools. That part of the law does not apply to universities. The reality is that Joe did what the law required. Yes, we may wish he had done more, but to be fired with no due process is an outrage.
